Below is the screencast for the ATSHA204 using the hashlet software. Sorry, video editing is not my strong point so there two minutes of me struggling to find the command around the 4 minute mark. I tried to edit it, but weird things happened. So here’s the “uncut” version.

  1. Josh,

These screencasts are awesome, but I had a couple of suggestions. One, many times I cannot see the lowest line of text on your terminal screen. You usually verbalize what you are typing, but then there are the options, etc that go with the command. I am a bit of a nugget (but always improving) with Linux command line, so it is very advantageous for me to be able to see the command you are typing. Second, when I go full screen so I don’t have to squint, I don’t see the lowest two lines of text. I’m not sure if there is much you can do into the past, but it would be awesome to see these changes going forward.

I just got my first BBB and Cryptocape a few days ago, and I am super excited about the possibilities. Thanks for all you are doing. It has helped me to learn so much, and I’m sure so much more.

    1. Thanks Mike!

I made these screen casts pretty quick. I’m in the middle of refactoring these drivers, to include a proper kernel driver. Once that’s done, I should find better screen recording software and make new ones, taking your suggestions in mind!

Sorry about this shameless self-promotion but, I just had a book published and two out of the five chapters use the CryptoCape. It goes into a little more detail on the TPM and some of the pros and cons of applying hardware encryption devices.

  2. Hi Josh,

Thanks for the screencasts and that helps a beginner like me, but I have problem pull down your key. I wonder if the key server is still valid, because I am stuck and got those messages below. Anyway, thanks for your help.

    gpg: keyserver timed out
gpg: keyserver receive failed: keyserver error
